Now, predominantly used in the realms of trap and left-field pop music, fans will even be able to identify an artist just by the way their distinct autotune sounds. Here is a five-second vocal clip on Live 10 and 11 to compare: Īny help would be hugely appreciated.Over the last decade, autotune has evolved from a subtlety producers and engineers use to alter vocals and correct out-of-tune notes to a full-blown identity for certain musicians. Any idea what's causing this? And any clue as to how I might fix it? (Ideally without having to delegate vocal chains to Live 10?). Even in a completely new project file, with no effects on any track, this still happens. I've also toggled Latency Compensation on and off to no avail. I've troubleshooted as much as my limited knowledge allows, and it's nothing to do with any other effects on the vocal chain, and nothing to do with leaving return tracks switched on. Rather than the chorus-like effect, it sounds more like a delay. The problem is that in Live 11, running the exact same AutoTuna Max plugin at 50% wet sounds very different. I run it 50% wet, giving the vocals a robotic chorus-like effect while retaining an element of the humanity that comes with natural minute pitch deviations. I've used this in Live 10 for the past couple of years and have embedded it into the process of pretty much all of my own songs. So far, it all seems great - except one thing: the pre-loaded AutoTuna plugin that runs through Max. Hello! After about three years with Live 10, I finally made the switch to live 11.
